Grandpa's Funny Sleep Habits: When He Snoozes on Grandma

You know what they say, "opposites attract." But in my family, it seems like we take that phrase quite literally. My grandpa is a big ol' softie when it comes to his wife – or should I say, he's a giant teddy bear with a permanent hug for her. You see, every time the two of them settle down for a nap together (which is more often than not), Grandpa tends to get a little too cozy.

He'll curl up right on top of Grandma, sometimes even snuggling deeper into her side than she'd like. It's not uncommon for us kids to walk into their bedroom and find Grandpa sprawled out across Grandma like a human blanket fort. They always look so peaceful and content that you can't help but smile at the sight.

But let me tell you – it wasn't always this way. In fact, when they first got married (back in the day), there was quite an adjustment period as they learned each other's quirks and habits. And one thing they quickly discovered was that Grandpa loved nothing more than snuggling up close to someone while asleep.

At first, Grandma wasn't too thrilled about this newfound habit of Grandpa's. She'd wake up feeling all squished and uncomfortable from being pressed against him during the night. But over time – well, let's just say she grew accustomed to having her own personal heat source by her side every night.

Nowadays whenever I visit my grandparents' house for dinner or spend the weekend with them at their lake house retreats (where these adorable sleeping arrangements are especially common due to those cozy couches!), I can't help but chuckle at how sweetly entwined they remain even in their sleep.

It warms my heart seeing such affectionate moments between two people who have been through life together since before most folks were born! Their love story really does serve as an inspiration to others around us who may be looking forward towards building long-lasting relationships filled with laughter and love just like theirs!

And if you ever visit them yourself? Just remember: don’t disturb Mr., Mrs., & Mr.!
