THE POET'S ADVICE TO THE OUTLAWS

Du Fu was a renowned poet of the Tang Dynasty known for his deep insights into life and society. He was once lost in a remote town while on his journey, and he happened to stay at an inn where Song Jiang and his bandits had gathered.

The outlaws were familiar with Du Fu's works but had never seen him in person. They were impressed by the old man's demeanor and sought his advice on how to become true heroes.

"First," Du Fu said, "a hero must have compassion for all people. You should not only fight against injustice but also show kindness to those who are weak."

The bandits nodded eagerly as they listened intently.

"Second," Du Fu continued, "a hero must be brave without fear of death. But bravery is not just about fighting; it is also about standing up for what is right even when faced with danger."

Again, the bandits agreed enthusiastically.

"A third quality of a hero," Du Fu went on, "is wisdom. Wisdom allows you to see through appearances and understand what truly matters in life."

Finally, he added that a true hero must always strive for justice without giving up hope or losing faith in humanity.

As they finished their drinks together that night,

the bandits thanked Du Fu for his wise words.

Though they came from different worlds,

they found common ground through literature.

And so their friendship grew stronger each day,

as they learned from one another along the way.
